Our Favorite Workouts

And a way that might help you get motivated to hit the gym!

Lets face it… most people have a list of the workouts or moves that they hate, not ones that they love! I vote to change that and challenge you to write a list of your favorite workouts or exercise moves that you LOVE! (or at least like… or tolerate…) You can do this, I know you can!

This is for all the ladies out there, but I am sure this helps you guys out too! You are more likely to be motivated to work out by 2 things. a) A workout partner and b) Cute Workout Gear!  Ladies, this means you get to go shopping! Having a cute new breathable top, comfortable tights or shorts, and quality shoes not only make you feel better and boost your confidence, but with proper clothing and shoes, you can workout more effectively and safely, and get the most out of your workout! Not to mention, you probably will hit the gym a little longer or more often! Guys, you can splurge and get you a nice pair of kicks and shirt that shows of those muscles. We won’t tell!

You don’t have to spend a fortune either on workout gear. Ross and TJ Maxx has a nice selection of cute workout clothes in popular brands, and check out the outlets for sneakers from the big name brands. Of course, the higher end labels do last longer over time, and fit better too typically. My favorite workout clothes are Athleta and LuluLemon. I was a Lulu hold out for YEARS thinking they were too expensive, too snobby, and just not worth it. Until my Crossfit trainer gave me a LuluLemon jacket that she could not return and it did not fit her, but it fit me. And I fell in love with the fit, quality, style, and brand. And no, I am not getting paid to say that about LuluLemon, I really love them!

But lets get back to the workouts.

My top 5 workouts or exercise moves are the following:
Squats – Weighted, Air, Sumo, you name it!
Running – preferably outside but the treadmill will do in the summertime!
Rowing – On a rowing machine
Townie WOD (1000 meter row, 40 air squats, 30 sit ups, 20 Hand Release Push Ups, and 10 pull ups; 2 rounds for time)
Jumping Rope (Love hate relationship with it!)

Josh’s top 5 workouts or exercise moves are the following:
Kipping Pull Ups
Leg less rope climbs – Just using arm strength to pull up to the top of the rope, feet do not touch the rope
Tricep/Bicep workouts
Rowing – On a rowing machine
Push ups

I challenge you to make a list of your favorite workouts and get back into a good workout routine. You will feel good, be healthier for it, and hey you just might have some better fitting clothes as a side effect! Feel free to share your favorite workouts below, we would love to see what y’all are doing!
